- Decency wins
- In 2016, nine months before an election, we Republicans said that the next president should fill a Supreme Court vacancy. Today, six weeks before an election, we should hold the same position. Preserving the institution of the Senate should be paramount to any political gain.
- As of today, 9,944 Arizona Republicans have changed their party registration since the assault on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Please, fellow Republicans, we cannot continue to excuse former President Trump's behavior and promote falsehoods about the election.
- It is impossible to watch today's impeachment trial and not be repelled, sickened and moved. There is no defense for former President Trump's actions on January 6th. None.
- If condoning President Trump’s behavior is required to stay in the AZGOP’s good graces, I’m just fine being on the outs.
- I never thought I would see the day when our American President would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression. This is shameful.

- I’ve often said that Republican elected officials can’t be expected to respond to every comment by the President. But there are times when the President's comments are so vile and offensive that it is incumbent on Republicans to respond and condemn. This is one of those times.
- When the Senate convenes next week, @ChrisCoons and I will ask for unanimous consent to bring S.2644, the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act, to a vote on the Senate floor. After the firing of The AG, it is more important than ever to protect the Special Counsel.
- The counting of ballots is nearly done in Arizona. A huge THANK YOU to election officials, workers and volunteers for their professionalism and hard work. Congratulations, President-Elect Biden for a hard won victory. Arizona has chosen well.
- I have informed the Majority Leader that I will not vote to advance any of the 21 judicial nominees pending in the Judiciary Committee, or vote to confirm the 32 judges awaiting action on the floor, until the Mueller protection bill is brought to the full Senate for a vote.
- I’m grateful tonight for elected officials in Maricopa County who followed the facts and the law by certifying the election results. You’ve done Arizona proud. Thank you.
