- Sad to learn of the passing of my longtime teammate and friend, Davey Johnson. We came to the O’s the same year, 1965.. raised our families together, won 2 World Series together, learned the Oriole way together. Amazing life of helping others as a friend, teammate, and manager.
- For all of us who love the game of baseball, we lost one of the best to ever play second base. Ryne Sandberg. #23. Tremendous player and all around great guy. RIP Ryne. You fought courageously.
- Me leaving the hospital today. Take that Covid! Thank you Birdland for all your well wishes and prayers. And to Dawn at MASN…you saved my life. @masnOrioles @Orioles
GIF - Saddened to hear my friend, Tom Seaver, has passed away. My condolences to Nancy&The Seaver family. Baseball lost the best pitcher of my era. #RIPTomTerrific @masnOrioles @Mets @Orioles
- I’m very sorry this happened. No excuse for this behavior.Derek, you’re a great brother. All my best to Shane. I’d be honored to meet both of you. #bebetterbirds @masnOrioles @OriolesId like to go over something that happened to my family at Camden Yards this weekend and hopefully provide some awareness of situations like this and hopefully stop things like this from happening in the future. Maybe this thread is just for my own catharsis, but id like
- MLB should be embarrassed not choosing Craig Kimbrel as an All Star.2nd in saves,2024, 4th all time, 440, 1 run last 21 appearances. MLB forgot their motto. “I live for it “and bowed to their NYC bias. Embarrassing.
- Just want to thank all my friends and fans for their 80th birthday wishes. Much appreciated … 😎⚾️🎤
- They say there’s no crying in baseball. That’s a lie 🤥😭. I share your pain.
- Giving all the credit to #4 who never allowed me a moment to relax on the mound!I’ve always known Jim Palmer never gave up a grand slam. Today I learned he also never gave up back-to-back homers. This so astounded me I had to go fact check it before tweeting this because it sounded like bullshit. It’s not.
- 1 year anniversary of the passing of #5,the great Brooks Robinson.I’ve said it often, we all were so fortunate to have him in our lives. He would be so proud of his 2024 Orioles and their battle with adversity. #RIP
- I miss him everyday. On what would have been his 88th birthday, we remember Hall of Famer and Orioles Legend Brooks Robinson 🧡
- My long time teammate Richie Dauer passes. Was part of the Oriole way, where you didn’t have to be a star to help the O’s win. Richie had an infectious personality that kept us loose, yet focused. Another reason I was so blessed to be an Oriole for life. RIP
- BTW. Kevin Brown was brilliant yesterday, chronicling the history of the Athletics thru the years. His empathy towards A’s fans that will soon lose their team was so heart warming. Lucky to have him as a partner.
