🗣 #SoundOff: “An injury to one is an injury to us all!” We must pass the Warehouse Worker Protection Act (#S8922 / #A10020) to safeguard the livelihoods of those working under the debilitating quota systems instilled by large e-commerce giants like @amazon. #WorkersFirst

Kyle Rittenhouse, who fatally shot two men and wounded another, was found not guilty of intentional homicide and four other felony charges in a deeply divisive case that fed a national debate over vigilantism, gun rights and the definition of self-defense. nyti.ms/3Dzog3v

Truly an honor to be recognized by @CityAndStateNY as one of the many leaders in today’s labor movement. As we progress towards economic recovery, we must ensure that we place the needs of our working families at the forefront of any public policy agenda. #ProtectingAllWorkers

Today I joined the Raise Up New York Coalition as we kicked off our campaign to support the Raise the Wage Act.  Far too many New Yorkers are struggling to make ends meet. We must help working families regain their purchasing power while strengthening the local economy!

Thank you to everyone that came out today in support of the Sedgwick Avenue Cleanup and helping us take care of home. A huge shoutout goes to @ASEZ_EastCoast and their student leaders for rolling up their sleeves alongside us in a collective effort to Beautify The Bronx!

To supplement the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, an additional $25 million in federal funding was allocated to provide legal services to tenants facing eviction proceedings. Yesterday @GovKathyHochul declared the awardees that will help resolve these rent-related disputes.

On this day in 1865, John Rock became the first black attorney to be admitted to argue in the Supreme Court of the United States. John Rock was credited with coining the phrase "black is beautiful.”

Today, @GovKathyHochul signed legislation into law, critical to reducing existing barriers to employment faced by justice-affected workers so that these individuals may participate in bona fide work and labor protests without risk of violating parole conditions.
