    Yes, reciprocity. But I generally enjoy helping people, and my friends and family using my stuff makes me feel good, better than to go to waste. If anything, it helps me escape the dark void of my self loathing, if only for a bit

    Vercel (triangle man) and cloudflare (seal man) fighting is honestly great for everyone who uses them. Neither company is perfect, but competition pushing for better pricing and transparency is a win, look at the changes…

    Vercel now has: - spend caps. You can perfectly control what you spend - Fluid compute "pay per cpu cycle" pricing. Surprises sometime would come from backends going down and running up compute. That gap has been plugged - State of the art bot protection & DDoS mitigation

    They just standardized the ad hoc formatting people were already using in plaintext docs and slapped a renderer on it to make it less ugly. Plaintext already owned readmes and project docs, so people took the small upgrade gladly

    Was thinking of a .net 9 backend, but @bunjavascript is just stupid good I know local benches are meh, so grain of salt obviously .NET 9 (NAOT): 21.5k RPS (p99 6.2 ms) Bun.serve: 31.5k RPS (p99 3.1ms) Axum (Rust): 20k RPS (p99 0.9ms) Rust has best tail (expected) but... bun
