Lots of new followers from the La Jolla post. I’m a general contractor just north of there, in Encinitas. We mainly do kitchen and bath renovations and TI projects. I also invest in real estate in Indiana, where I’m from. I usually post about construction, RE, taxes and cars.

I’m in love with Mexico City. It’s a PsyOp that many Americans pretend this is 3rd world or dangerous. Trains run every few minutes and cost $0.30. The parks are well lit with wifi. They have separated bike lanes and bike shares. There’s moms walking kids after dark….

Crazy amounts of entitlement right now. Folks built mansions next to canyons with no regard for potential disasters. Now that a huge area is on fire, they expect coverage everywhere all at once. I’d be thankful to be alive…

I just left the hellscape formerly know as Pacific Palisades where I’ve lived for 26 years. I’m mad at what I saw. Our politicians have failed us. Unprepared, unimaginative, understaffed, now overwhelmed. Heads must roll for this disaster. I personally saw 100+ homes fully
