- Shiny Pokémon rarity has been split! Same 1:4096 odds to obtain a shiny, but there are two types of shiny. 15/16 show stars, 1/16 show squares. Square rarity is 1 in 65536! Basically, if your Trainer ID cleanly matches the PID (xor), it will be squares rather than stars.
- Scarlet/Violet's Item Printer has been broken! The results are locked-in when you open the menu for the first time (using "seconds since 1970"). With knowledge of how it determines item results, we can forecast results, and game the item printer. More info soon.
00:42The Item Printer can be gamed with the system clock! The first time you boot up the game, opening the Item Printer sets the RNG seed based on the system time. For 10 rare balls: May 20, 2016, 2:11:13 AM (select "I want to print" 11 sec in for enough time to fade to black) - Finally found & ripped the Item Printer reward tables. Wait for @SerebiiNet to make the info pretty for his site :D
- Ursaluna - Bloodmoon Form It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers. This special Ursaluna can see in the dark with its left eye and protects itself with mud that is as hard as iron.
- Beware! There's a bug in Sword/Shield that can crash your game if you receive a maliciously crafted Pokémon via Surprise Trade. It'll crash your game when you try to access online features (via Y-COM), preventing online interactions until a patch is released.
- Indigo Disk DLC: Dipplin will likely get a new evolution. The game data has a defined evolution (stubbed like the Hisui evolutions)... and holding Eviolite works.
- Similar to raid RNG in Sword/Shield, we've figured out a way to reverse and permute all results for (Massive) Mass Outbreaks, and can tell you the exact steps to obtain a shiny&/alpha. Same as raid RNG, the method can be performed by anyone! Guides/tutorials are forthcoming...
- Pokémon Sword/Shield give you extra rerolls to try to generate a shiny based on how many of the Pokémon you've ever battled, and how long your current encounter chain is. Shiny charm still gives +2 if obtained. We're not sure what increments your chain counter, but this is it!
- The new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl patch has added 'PokeDupeChecker', which checks for clones in the save data (party, box, daycare). Anything detected as a clone will be flagged in the PKM's data structure, and will be prevented from being traded.
- The newest Sword & Shield update (v1.1.1) has fixed the crashing caused by "maliciously crafted" Pokémon trades. It's fixed!Beware!
