- Brandon Adams was one of the kindest and more enjoyable young men I've had the pleasure to be around. It breaks my heart learning about his untimely death this morning. Absolutely crushed. I can't imagine what his family, friends and teammates are going through. Prayers to all.

- #GaTech WR signee Bryce Gowdy has passed away. Tragic news from his HS team confirming the news. As someone who knew the young man I am speechless. As a father and a reporter covering a team that has faced two deaths in less than a year I’m heartbroken for everyone involved.
- We have put in the request with the Birmingham Bowl people for a pool reporter to speak to the officials after the game. They are looking into it. I'm not overall optimistic they know how to handle that request. It is not something that has happened often in my career.

- My father passed away earlier today. We had a complicated relationship but we loved each other and he got to know my son a little through my attempts to reconnect some. Unfortunately he won’t get to know his next grandchild. RIP dad.
