    Melbourne Cup Runners: Where are they now? Bauer (Halling x Dali's Grey) 2nd in the 2008 Melbourne Cup Winning 7 of his 26 starts, he found post-racing success as Clerk of the Course and competing. Now, he happily enjoys retirement with his new BFF, sharing plenty of apples🍎

    Yes, he nicked his tongue. It looks messy, but it’s minor, treated on the spot, and he’s recovering well: full post-race vet checks done and comfort comes first. Think of a boxer or footballer who bites their tongue or splits a lip - lots of blood, quick fix, back to normal. It

    Melbourne Cup Runners: Where are they now? Let's Elope (Nassipour x Sharon Jane) WINNER of the 1991 Melbourne Cup 🏆 A winner of 11 (4 G1s) of her 25 starts, she had a successful career as a broodmare and later on, a nanny mare since retiring from the track. She died in 2016.
