- "Before operating, her mother was counselled that she may not survive." 👏 Celebrating @Smiletrain & KidsOR scholar Dr. Axelle who recently had to operate on a 2-day-old. "She arrived in critical condition. Thankfully, 1 week & 2 operations later she was able to return home" 💙

- Safe surgery for children in Burundi! 💙 🇧🇮 We couldn't be more proud that our scholar, Dr. @NiyukuriAlly passed his final paediatric surgical exams earlier this month. He now returns to Burundi as one of the country's first EVER children's surgical experts. Incredible! 👏

- "It's an incredibly delicate & intricate procedure..." 😓 KidsOR/@Smiletrain scholar Dr. Axelle is doing AMAZING work in Rwanda 🇷🇼 Last month, she performed in an incredibly challenging EA/TEF procedure on a 12 day old baby. The surgery was a success, saving the child's life 💙
- Celebrating our scholar, Dr. Massenga. 🙌 Graduated in 2021, she's now based in Bugando, 🇹🇿. Serving 7million children, her hospital previously had 0 dedicated paed. surgeons. We're so proud to have supported her & created easier access to surgery for children in Tanzania. 💙
