    The news of Russian sabotage of the Baltic-connector natural gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia was today followed by massive bomb threats against Estonian schools and kindergartens. Latvia experienced similar threats already a couple of days ago. I don't think we needed a

    Repeat after me: NATO does not equal US imperialism. Countries join NATO on their own free will. NATO is a defensive alliance. NATO membership is why the Baltic sates have not been invaded by Russia the same way as Ukraine. Every country has the right to join NATO.

    Any appeaser calling for negotiations with Russia needs to explain how the result of these negotiations is going to be more credible than 1. The Russian-Ukrainian Border Treaty 2. The Budapest Memorandum 3. The NATO-Russia Founding Act 4. The Helsinki Final Act 5. The UN Charter

    And here's Putin's signature (on the right) on the 2003 agreement between Russia and Ukraine demarcating the two countries' borders. The agreement is lodged with the UN.

    Russia is out of ideas. The partial mobilisation and sham annexations made no difference. The energy weapon didn't break European resolve. Unhinged propaganda about Nazis, biolabs, satanists and dirty bombs failed to make an impact. 1/2

    If you find yourself scared of Russia, then keep in mind that that's exactly what Russia would like you to be: scared, confused and paralysed. Don't give them the pleasure. Instead, be angry at Russia for their blatant criminality. And channel this anger into helping Ukraine.
