My compliments to our community for staying away from the beaches in LA. From Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, to Dockweiler - All Clear!! Safer at Home will get us there sooner.

- Nobody said it would be easy—the @Dodgers aren’t out of it yet. I have authorized all employees to wear Dodger caps on duty in support of our Blue Crew. Let’s all pull for one more day of summer!
- Today marks my 100th day as the 57th Chief of the LAPD—an opportunity to reflect on where we are & where we’re going. We will continue to focus on keeping LA safe, increasing our use of new technologies & enhancing the relationships we have w/ our community.
- Let me be clear—there are 4 police officers and 4 alone responsible for the death of George Floyd. Simply put: Those intent on spewing mayhem and distraction into our communities are a disgrace to his memory.
- #OpeningDay is finally here. I have authorized the men and women of the LAPD to do what any great Los Angeles sports fan should do—put on a dodgers cap, and root for the boys in @Dodgers blue. #OpeningDayLA = #ItsTimeForDodgerBaseball.
- Last night, @cityofdavispd Ofcr Natalie Corona was called to respond to a vehicle collision—It would be her last call for service. She was senselessly shot only 6 months after completing the academy. She was 22. The thoughts & prayers of the LAPD are w/ her family & the Davis PD.
- Last night I got the call no Chief wants to get. One of your LAPD officers was struck by gunfire while protecting & serving LA. She is in remarkably good spirits & is thankful for the outpouring of support. Please continue to keep her & her family in your prayers as she recovers.
- Los Angeles is a city made up of families—We will continue to do what’s in the best interest of all Angelenos, no matter their immigration status.
00:00 - An honor of a lifetime being able to read tonight’s @Dodgers starting line-up on behalf of the men and women of the LAPD. Hoping the boys in blue bring home a win on a night honoring our law enforcement community. #GoDodgers
00:00 - The LAPD is mourning the loss of one of our own. Officer Esmeralda Ramirez served the city of Los Angeles with honor, integrity, and pride. We will, not as an organization but as a family, never forget her sacrifice.
- Effective today, you may see your local LAPD officers wearing either surgical masks or non-medical face coverings while in public. This is for our safety, and for your safety. Coupled with safe social distancing, we will continue to protect and serve through this crisis.
- Tonight's homicide in South LA represents the latest loss in a troubling surge in violence. Since last Sunday 26 victims have been shot & 10 homicides—that's 36 families left picking up the pieces. We will work aggressively with our community to quell this senseless loss of life.
- Tonight, @NewtonLAPD Gang Officers, who are given a tough & dangerous job, confronted every officer’s worst fear—gunfire. One of the officers was shot & rushed to a local area hospital where he’s now in stable condition. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts & prayers.
- Los Angeles lost a guardian and everyday hero, that was known for his dedication to always completing the mission. Sadly, recently retired SWAT Officer John Kent lost his battle with cancer this morning. His commitment to Los Angeles, and the LAPD will be remembered by all.
