Strong support by #NB8 states 🇩🇰 🇪🇪 🇫🇮 🇮🇸 🇱🇻 🇱🇹 🇳🇴 🇸🇪 for the entry into force of the #CTBT and the global norm against nuclear testing at today’s @CTBTO PrepCom meeting. Any nuclear weapon test explosion would harm global non-proliferation efforts.

Latvia welcomes the understanding reached between the U.S. and Iran. The expected outcomes of a permanent ceasefire, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as advancing the end of Iran’s nuclear program will stabilise the Middle East and benefit global security and economy.

At the OSCE Permanent Council Latvia spoke about the ongoing disinformation campaign and threats by Russia regarding drones. Full solidarity was expressed by our European and transatlantic allies. Russian spread of disinformation must end.
