Today, I received further reassurance from the government that they will continue to raise the case of my constituent, Jagtar Singh Johal at the highest level, ahead of his 38th birthday. This will be his 8th birthday spent arbitrarily detained in solitary confinement in India.

Today I asked the Prime Minister to do all that he can to help secure the release of Jagtar Singh Johal. This week marks the 7 year anniversary of his arbitrary detention in India. Locked up in solitary confinement! He should be home in Dumbarton with his family. #FreeJaggi

Jagtar Singh Johal was acquitted of all charges against him in his first case to conclude, but he remains arbitrarily detained in India. I asked for an urgent statement confirming that our government is acting with the utmost urgency to bring him home to his family in Dumbarton.

Following the news this week that my constituent, Jagtar Singh Johal, arbitrarily detained in India, was acquitted of all charges, I asked the Leader of the House to arrange for an urgent Government statement confirming that every effort will be made to bring him home.

SNP £1million cut to SPT results in staggering rail fare hikes for older people! Currently a return ticket to Glasgow from Clydebank is £1:50 From the 1st of April, passengers over 60 will pay £3:65 from Clydebank and £4:05 from Dalmuir. Older people paying for SNP failure.
