    Can you help LPD identify? This dog was found this afternoon in Lafayette (South Boulder Rd/Merlin Dr) with no current owner or address information. The dog was taken to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. If you have information, please call 303-442-4030. Thank you.

    Officers responded to a traffic accident involving numerous gummy bears this week. All bears were treated at the scene and released without injury.

    The memorial service procession for Boulder Officer Eric Talley has begun. The route is now closed to all traffic. Please avoid Hwy 7 from I25 to 119th, 119th from Hwy 7 (Baseline) to South Boulder Road and South Boulder Road to Coal Creek Drive.

    The All Clear has been issued at Good Samaritan Medical Center. No threat was located at Good Samaritan Medical Center. The building is reopening and there were no signs of an incident in the hospital.

    South Boulder Road is currently closed near Centaurus High School while police investigate an incident reported at the high school. No harm to students or staff has been reported. An update will be made available shortly.

    Lafayette Police Department is in the funeral procession for Douglas County Deputy Zackari Parrish this morning and will be attending the memorial service. Our hearts go out to the Parrish family! A very sad day for law enforcement! #RememberParrish

    No threat has been found at Good Samaritan Medical Center. We anticipate that an all clear will be received very soon. A media staging area has been set up in the east parking lot of the Hampton Inn located at 317 Exempla Circle. We will issue another update when available.

    Dispatch is receiving calls of a bear sighting near Copper Stone Apartments, 700 block of S Lafayette Dr. The bear has been spotted multiple times in Broomfield & Westminster throughout the day. CO Parks and Wildlife has been notified. Please be aware and bring pets indoors.
