One of our deputies was asked by the parents of an upset 4 year old if we could drive by and wave since his b-day party was cancelled. A few phone calls and some quick coordination turned into a special parade featuring @FCPolice @CSP_Larimer @CSUPoliceSafety @UCHNoCoFound

Heartbreaking news from Jefferson County this morning. K9s are such loyal, talented partners in public safety, and our condolences go out to K9 Graffit's handler, family, and agency. Rest easy, Very Good Boy. Your service made a difference.

This morning our beloved K9 Graffit was draped in an American flag and escorted by a formal law enforcement procession. Graffit is one of us… he is our family, and we are heartbroken that he made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. (1/2)

#CameronPeakFire Sheriff Smith spent some time up by the CSU Mountain Campus today. Despite 15 inches of snow on the ground, the fire continues to put up smoke. The winter storm provided a much needed pause, but fire is still present.

As of 9:45am, MMA mapped the fire at 1,820 acres. Due to the proximity to critical infrastructure & communities, this fire has been prioritized and has great support from state & local cooperators. Fire has not crossed Hwy 34. manager.everbridge.net/pub/1744582966…
