Space journalists: So cool! What's next for Starship?
Non-space journalist #1: Why wasn't this a failure?
Non-space journalist #2: Why is SpaceX wasting billions of dollars on a rocket that exploded?

- Why is United Launch Alliance still calling itself the "nationโs most experienced space launch company" when SpaceX has more than double the number of launches under its belt?
- Introducing space baby Jude Angelo who launched into this world late Wednesday night, 2/2/22. ๐ถ๐ Baby and mommy (that's me) are doing great. Just a bit sleepy.
- Please join me in welcoming Aurelia Erica who arrived shining into the world at 8:01 Eastern time this morning! She and mommy (that's me) are doing well. Our hearts are full.
- Yes, I did just get sidetracked changing every mention of "manned" and "unmanned" to "crewed" and "uncrewed" in NASA CRS Wikipedia pages. Searching for these anachronistic words on space Wikipedia pages is routine for me now.
- This is really gross. I'm so sorry to my NASA and NASA contractor friends and colleagues for having to deal with this. That threat at the end is particularly unprofessional and draconian.Looks like Acting @NASA Administrator Janet Petro has bought into this #Diversity erasure at #NASA. Her words.
- I do wonder how differently the space community might talk about NASA's SLS if it was anywhere near as quickly developed and photographer-access-friendly as SpaceX's Starship. One is a rising bright star in the sunshine, the other is mostly hidden.
- Scott Pace argues NASA should consider using โtraditional contractingโ for a second HLS award if they canโt afford a second award through public-private partnerships. Um, in what universe would that be a less expensive option!? #SpacePolicy

- Are we ready to have the conversation of what happens to the ISS partnership when war breaks out? Too soon? ๐
- I hadn't seen this clip before. I think someone at @blueorigin needs to show it to their boss as a reminder.
00:00 - I find it odd when people call SpaceX and Blue Origin startups. Both companies are around 2 decades old. SpaceX launched its first operational mission 12 years ago. Blue Origin, quite a bit slower, has been launching suborbital payloads for 2 years. Both companies launch people.
- My husband & I discussing what we do if we strike it rich. Him: Iโd like to live how we live now but debt-free. Me: Iโd like to travel more. Him: Travel where? Me: To space conferences, rocket launches, solar eclipses, space...
- I'm impressed that someone in this NASA Advisory Council Human Exploration and Operations Committee asked if NASA would consider bypassing Orion and Gateway and simply using SpaceX's starship to take astronauts from the Earth to the Moon and back. The response: maybe.
