Hello, squidkids! Another update from someone still in the Nintendo Network.
Almost a day after closing, I am the final Splatoon 1 player online. I’m going to hold out for as long as I can. I’m so lonely…
#Splatoon
This is your Captain speaking. After 68 days online, my connection to Splatoon has been terminated. In my move, I accidentally lost connection to my router.
I’d like to thank everyone for this inkredible support. Even though I may be crying now, you’ve kept me going every day.
Today, 30 April 2024 @ 2:30 P.M. EST, marks the final map rotation in Splatoon 1 on the Nintendo Network. These maps are set to be in rotation for the next ten years.
Here is the final Squid Sisters broadcast from the Nintendo Network.
BREAKING NEWS!! I just got the map rotation notification… fifty-seven minutes later than expected. It seems like things are gearing down for a final discontinuation on Nintendo’s side, but I’m still in and getting the news.
…Did Nintendo finally turn off map rotations in Splatoon 1? Usually, they send a news flash for the Squid Sisters out at ten my time (eighteen minutes ago). I’m still connected and very much online, though.
(GamePad view taken now, then a timestamped picture of the rotation.)
Hold on to your tentacles… for some bad news.
As of the (delayed) 2:00 A.M. EST rotation, matchmaking (lobby) has officially gone down in Splatoon. Other online services, including the news and shops, are still functional and I still remain online.
I repeat, I am STILL online.
Maps changed. I’ll find someone eventually…! I hope.
Ninety-nine tanks of ink on my back, ninety-nine tanks of ink… Take one down, splat it around, ninety-eight tanks of ink on my back…
Just gonna give a quick update on how things are going! I’ve already explained everything on my main thread, but here’s the latest Splatoon 1 NN rotation with the latest news. As you can see, with three seconds left on the clock, I am *still* alone here!
