Overheard at the bus stop today. “My daughter has this awful cough. They’re calling it the 100-day cough. She’s had it for EVER” “OMG my little boy too. Also my husband has been ill constantly since Christmas.” Do you think people are joining dots yet?

I have 3 children (I know: yawn 🥱). But they’ve all been ill over the last month. Vomiting. Fevers. Headaches. All = time off school (naturally). Our youngest (6 weeks) was admitted to hospital 2 days ago with a fever. It was, frankly, terrifying - and I can’t help feel… 1/

Overheard a bunch of doctors talking today. “So they have to take FIVE days off now because of a Covid test” “ARE PEOPLE STILL TESTING?!” “Ridiculous. Anyone who tests should be fined!” “Yeah it’s just like a cold now - no need to test” We’re in for a hard winter.

First time flying in quite some time, cramped up with 200 other people in very close proximity. I was the only person wearing a mask. Good to hear regular airport announcements about the importance of wearing a mask - but… no one is listening.

After all, if the school is concerned about actual illness spreading from child to child (and to teacher)… and if they’re really concerned about attendance… they should put an air filter in every classroom and reduce absence by 20%. I won’t get a reply. 2/2

Has anyone else noticed that the UK is the ONLY G7 nation NOT vaccinating children against Covid? As well as the ONLY G7 nation that has STOPPED the Covid booster programme? Why isn't this getting any media coverage?
