I chatted with the staff who are striking at our local Metro. They feel discouraged as it doesn't feel like Metro or the community cares about them. Given the huge rise in cost of living and reported profits of grocery chains, I think it is reasonable to ask for better wages.....

Unless we make our voices heard now, Willowdale’s future will not include a station at Cummer for 15,000+ nearby residents. Send this advocacy letter TODAY to the Premier, ministers and our local MPP Minister Stan Cho to stand with Willowdale and fund CUMMER STATION.

I had the honour of presenting it at City Council in recognition of International Day for the Elimination of Violence and to acknowledge the devastating impact of femicide and intimate partner violence. 62 women and girls died in Ontario from femicide this year.
