- I knew a kid in grade school who wore a metal brace because polio atrophied his leg. If you're 10 years younger than I am (and I hope you are), you probably never went to school with a kid who suffered from polio because, ya know, vaccinations.
- If you’re going to the @Cubs game, take a pic of my wife’s birthday wishes to me on the scoreboard. She bought it months ago before I got really sick.
- When the @Cubs won the World Series, I did not celebrate with champagne or beer or whiskey. I felt a rare sort of joy. Like I was 9 again. So I made myself a root beer float.
