โ€œThe old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born.โ€ Thank you @SG__Symposium for the opportunity to contribute to your publications this brief on the emerging multi-polar world order, and what it might mean for the future of democracy.

Happy to be hearing the names of Naledi Pandor, Lindiwe Sisulu and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma being touted as potential deputy presidents. This is the world I want to live in. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ @PresidencyZA

My parents who spent their whole working lives paying taxes under apartheid so that you could go to school for free when we couldnโ€™t, access free healthcare that we couldnโ€™t, and enjoy protection from police that either ignored or brutalized us, wish you well for your new life.

And so South Africa loses another productive, employment creating family.. Tired of paying more than R400,000 p.a. in income taxes for zero family benefit. Tired of crime, of living in fear, of endless, unpunished state theft & corruption. Of reading about it all by candlelight

Since when do you need my ID number in order for me to shop for Domestos and Handy Andy on the internet? Stop using groceries to harvest peopleโ€™s private data. ๐Ÿšฎ

[THREAD] 1. If the President resigns tonight it will open the door for the nastiest, most craven and unrepentant criminals in the ANC to start feasting again. Are you ready for โ€œPresident David Mabuzaโ€?

This crisis is really exposing who some people are. Selfish, entitled, racist, condescending, utterly brainless. In what universe does the black woman who daily cleans the home that you have made dirty, need *your* instruction on hygiene or cleanliness?

Conducting home evictions in winter, in the middle of a global pandemic, amongst the poorest and most vulnerable people in Cape Town is unconscionable. Doing so with violence and by publicly stripping people of their dignity is unforgivable. Where is leadership in the @CityofCT?
