As part of my meetings with a cross-section of political parties, I hosted @HEBobiwine and the Secretary General of the @NUP_Ug. We discussed the NUP vision; 2026 priorities; and the importance of peaceful elections for growth and stability. I’ll see more parties next week.

I’m enjoying discovering Kampala! Whether sight-seeing; trying the food; experiencing traditional dances; or simply enjoying the view - the city already feels like home 🏡 What shall I try next to get to know the local culture? I look forward to getting out of the capital too.

Over the next month our accredited @UKinSierraLeone team will observe the voter registration process across🇸🇱. Glad to see people from Kroo Bay to Lumley, Goderich to Tokeh, East End Police to Waterloo registering today to ensure they can make their voice heard in June 2023.

If ever a places shows you why protecting the natural environment matters 🌿it is Tiwai Island Sanctuary. Local communities and the Sanctuary work 🤝 to protect 🐒, over 700 types of 🌴, 135 🦅 species and more than 800 different 🦋. Another magical place to visit in Mama🇸🇱!
