- God I’m bored of drag queens. There’s absolutely nothing transgressive about drag anymore; it’s entirely establishment and unimaginative.

- Politics and all views aside, I beg everyone to stop using the term “gender” when they mean “sex”.
- Editors are now contacting me because they're interested in acquiring 'gender critical'* feminism. How times have changed. *Otherwise known as 'feminism'.
- However much we wished novels written in the past shared today’s sensibilities (or not), changing them is wrong. How can it be okay to posthumously alter an author’s work? What will we lose? Won’t we be constantly re-writing history? I know it’s become trite to quote 1984, but…
- I very much hope that children’s publishers, agents and authors are paying attention to the #CassReport - & the news coming from other countries, including the US, Finland, the Netherlands - & adjusting their output accordingly. Culture has played a big part in this scandal.

- The coolest thing about baby humans is that before they can walk, talk or control their bodily functions, they laugh and have a sense of humour.
- I know it’s not the subject of the tribunal, but one of the more concerning aspects of the Peggie/ NHS Fife case is that there’s a medical doctor, working with patients, who seems to believe sex isn’t real. How does he square that circle?
