A bit later on, I described why we need to positively promote #FreeSpeech on campus via a culture change. It's not enough to just pass legislation and hope for the best.

Well done @Docstockk 4 her brave stance & 4 standing up for sex-based rights & free speech @OxfordUnion 👏 Seems a good day to promote "Material Girls" which holds trans people must have 'dignity, respect & legal protection' but sex is a material reality.

Excellent from @Fox_Claire on Labour junking of #freespeech act. Important points on combating use of welfare and harm to shut down free speech. Law was never enough. Now need join with @AFAF_freespeech @SpeechUnion @ComAcFreedom @StudentAFAF to fight this

Censors used to target ideas. Then went onto cancelling the speakers. Telling - and worrying - that the Students' Unions now banning organisers of debates. Even to debate is too much for them. Anyone with a liberal bone in their body should support the brilliant @durhamunion
