Sakurai really made the same game from 20+ years ago with a few new features, complained about how hard games are to make, straight up told us racing wasn't the focus, threw shade at Mario Kart World, and essentially read the user manual to us for nearly an hour. And I loved it

Switch is the first Nintendo console since SNES with a brand new 2D Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. Worthy heirs, in my opinion, and I love seeing the classic styles live on!

Bananza is a perfect showcase of modern Nintendo game design. It has the freedom of BotW, the bonkers mechanics of TotK, the platforming chops of Odyssey, and the fresh creative spirit of Splatoon. DK takes these and makes every element his own. I love it more and more each day.

Donkey Kong Bananza is a masterpiece. It's a brilliant successor to Super Mario Odyssey, one of the best platformers I’ve ever played, and one of my favorite Nintendo games of all time. DK is finally back, and I couldn't be happier. Find out why in my 10/10 review, on @IGN.

Seeing a lot of this going around, Emerald Rush is absolutely not "Balloon World but now it's $20." It's Splatoon 3's Side Order, which was also a $20 roguelite mode that came bundled with a nostalgic hub to explore. It's the exact same playbook.
