“We [the Committee] also heard that the Met’s response to these grooming gangs has “just not been good enough”.
“Concerns were highlighted about victim-blaming language, inadequate support for victim-survivors, the criminalisation of exploited children, and the relatively low number of grooming gang convictions secured by the Met.
“Together, these factors have contributed to a lack of trust among victim-survivors.
