It’s odd to live in a country which has a shortage of nurses and then spends public money - hires an expensive KC indeed - to humiliate a woman who has stayed in the service for 30 years, because she wants a woman-only place to change in and out of uniform and deal with periods.

If another man ever behaves like that again towards a woman in the house of commons, I hope every woman there with any sense of common experience with other women, gets up, walks across the chamber, and sits alongside her. Labour have a plain sight abuser in their ranks.

Some angry men vandalised the statue of Millicent Fawcett because they know it’s meaningful to women who’ve said no to them. The same impulse leads an abusive partner to destroy things that matter to his ex. Not an analogy, not a parallel, just the same thing.

Bloody hell. At this exact moment, at taxpayer expense a woman is being put through the wringer by an expensive lawyer specifically for using male pronouns about a male person in court, even though the court said she could.

A man stood in the middle of a demo attended by the police in Glasgow in 2023 holding up a sign saying “decapitate terfs” and was not arrested. Even afterwards, though he was clearly photographed.

It’s about sex. But today’s proceedings in Dundee are very obviously about class, too. Actual intersectionality. Scotland is so superior about being more down to earth. But today, at heavy public expense, a working class nurse got hauled over the coals for not knowing her place.

I just saw a report describing FWS as "backed financially by JK Rowling". That's a description that could leave people with a false impression of the risks FWS has taken here. The major part of FWS's upfront costs in bringing this case comes from lots of small donations./
