Labour has increased the pay for our armed forces by 14% since we formed the government. We said we would renew the contract between the nation and those who serve and we meant it. 🇬🇧

The Royal Navy is an important part of Plymouth’s life. The whole city will feeling the same as I do today. We are all thinking of the three members of the Royal Navy who lost their lives today and sending our condolences to their family, friends and colleagues at this awful time

Thanks to the team at DTC for hosting me this morning for a tour of their facilities and for the round table with local defence businesses. Defence is an engine for growth and it was good to hear about the opportunities to speed up procurement and get more kit to our warfighters
