I'm the guy you call when you have a complex software project at hand that'll need 5+ developers to pull off. Whether you're starting from scratch or it's an abandoned program. I'll manage & hire devs, design the solution architecture & liaise with exec stakeholders to the finish

I once worshipped at a Jehovah's Witness church. Services were nice because it was always more of a discussion than preaching. After a month I asked my friend, "Since I've been coming here there has never been an offertory session during the service. How does one contribute?" ...

Uber ride was 840. Driver finagled me to give him 1100, cash. Then he reported me to Uber for non-payment, and blocked my number. I decided I won't take it lying down, and visited Uber offices to make a complaint. Now driver is calling me relentlessly saying that I've ruined his

When I was a journalist I was forced to revise a story when a Central Kenya MP called and said "Wewe na huyo malaya wako tutawapiga risasi tuwazike futi kumi na mbili hamtawahi nuka". The story was about how politicians had grabbed land meant for the resettlement of maumau...

Someone who spends 4k a month with Kenya Power just put up a 1.2 million solar unit. I find this to be insane, given that it'll take 25 years to break even, and I'm sure by year 15 the panels and battery will all need replacing. Why not even put that cash in an mmf instead?

So you think that you're too old to get into tech? Before getting into tech, my salary barely amounted to sh. 40K on some months. I got into tech and in my first 'real' job at 28 , it shot to ~300K. I worked alongside 19-year olds who earned the same, if not more. You think I was

Years ago, I switched my career to tech & started learning code. However, I took many years to be professionally proficient in code & wasted so much time! If I knew what I know now, my journey would've been so much easier! Here's how I'd learn to code if I could start over:🧵

My pal showed me a contribution box outside the church that was so obscure that I'd missed it in the month I'd been attending services. "If you have anything, you just drop it into that box anonymously. We believe giving is voluntary and you'll never see us soliciting for money

Today I learned that there are shady agencies and American citizens selling US identities to African software developers, who work remotely pretending to be in the states, then they split salary with the agency/US citizen 50/50.

In 1964, when Field Marshall John Okello overthrew the Sultanate of Zanzibar, he called Jomo Kenyatta's office to offer Zanzibar to Kenya. Top KE officials formed a committee that agreed it was a good idea for us to take over Zanzibar. However, Kenyatta, then the Prime Minister,

I was awed. I couldn't help but compare there modesty with the Anglican church I attended back home. Many Anglicans like me will tell you that they stopped attending church when it became less of a communion of Christians and more like a marketplace bazaar.

A regular Anglican service has about four or five different fundraisers nowadays, excluding the offertory. Let not your left hand know what your right hand has given? In ACK they actually read aloud MPesa messages and clap harder for who members contribute the most. It's bizarre.
