- Today, I finished reading my first full book in three years! All of 500 pages!
- A generation ago, a heavy-handed regime bombs Hargeysa to try to subdue a restive region, & preserve the Union. Today, tanks roll into LasAnod for essentially the same reason. Some of the victims running from the planes are today commanding the tanks. How unfortunate. How futile!
- Let me a be proud father for just a minute! My youngest son, Abdulkadir graduated from High School! This means I am old! This also means, with Allah’s Benevolence and Grace, the most important job I ever had, a parent, is almost finished. All Praise to Allah!
- One is never too old learn! Today, I officially start a new chapter in my life: STUDENT! I start a Graduate Degree in International Relations at Harvard University. Hopefully, it will come in handy as we grapple with issues in our Region and elsewhere! #Blessed!
- We have reliable information that Al Shabaab is spending millions to have Governor Ali Jeyte replaced. Replacing Governor Jeyte at this time is giving aid and comfort to Shabaab. President @GudlaweHussein leave Governor Jeyte alone!
- This evening, I paid a courtesy visit to Excellency @HassanSMohamud in Istanbul. I congratulated him on the successful Hiiraan operation. Without his clear and firm commitment to fight the Al Shabaab, it would not have been possible.
