    Will u help this @MayoClinic lecture youtube.com/watch?v=UHJUU0… go viral to all in #Cardiology. Why? Dismissed #LQTS patient today after ICD extraction. Her score-3 generators, 1 recall, 2 fractured leads,& unnecessary shocks. Help stop the nonsense. LQTS does NOT equal ICD. Retweet

    Unfortunately, it is deja vu all over again. I last tossed down the physician's RED FLAG & cried FOUL on this #COVID19 #myocarditis issue on August 11th and now forced to do it again. There is no way that 30-35% of #Athletes with COVID19 have myocarditis.

    If #medical experts for the Pac-12 and Big 10 #CollegeFootball conferences are using the very good @JAMACardio paper on cardiac MRI findings in #COVID19 patients as compelling for cancellation, that is a big FOUL. The data does NOT support this at all! #WeWantToPlay #RefuseToFear

    Wow, what a difference a #coronavirus week makes! While I still #RefuseToFear, I was WRONG! I totally underestimated & under appreciated the need for & power of #SocialDistancing to #FlattenTheCurve. I look forward to when meetings resume but until then #WashYourHands & be strong

    This fear and paranoia is out of control. 25 million #influenza cases and 25,000 influenza #deaths this #flu season alone. @MayoClinic is still following @CDCgov. Unless they name #Austria a level 3 warning, I’m going to #EHRA2020 and I hope to see all my friends there.

    Just finished this book about #bitcoin, #money, & #God written by ⁦@Breedlove22⁩ ⁦@jimmysong⁩ & a few others. This is not my typical reading material. But, it was given to me by one of my trainees. She thought I might find it interesting. And I did!! I learned a lot!!

    Based on the evidence or lack of evidence that currently exists, @MayoClinic is NOT using combination #Hydroxychloroquine & #Azithromycin for #COVID19 at this time.     We don't know if H + A (hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin) works vs #COVID19. But we know that combo ->risk for serious heart rhythm disturbances. Now @nyulangone's @ExtraStim et al assessed this in 84 patients treated. Many had a disturbing QTc ⬆️ >40ms medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

    Totally UNACCEPTABLE words that an EP doc told a family about their LQT2 child: “she will not live very long, no noises, don’t let her walk up stairs, learn CPR because U will need to use it!” Unfortunately, I can’t make up this NONSENSE. We MUST do better.

    I look forward to seeing the peer-reviewed publication. Equating a cardiac MRI finding, which is at best a Finding of Uncertain Significance (F.U.S.), to #Myocarditis in this setting is a FOUL (again). Making a ton of FUSS out of a F.U.S! Time to pick up the penalty flag.
