On this day 24 years ago I completed the historic 200/400 double and broke the 200m world record. Very proud to have realized this dream! And today I can still fit in the uniform!!!😁

Putting this to rest! Winning ANY Olympic🏅 is incredible. I was always favored for 🥇 so 🥈🥉 would be disappointing. But if I were a projected finalist,🥉 is a win! Don’t listen to people whose only sport is stirring up shit. Regardless how many followers they have. #Olympics

Two sporting icons. Two different eras. But there is one huge similarity between Muhammad Ali and Novak Djokovic. They stuck to their principles even when the world was trying to shut them down. They have both transcended sport with their bravery when under fire.

Hit 54 this week. What I’ve learned so far. My family is everything. Your decisions determine your success and your failure. Self discovery pays extraordinary dividends. Preparation, preparation, preparation! Luck helps but don’t wait for it.

Two years ago today I found myself in the hospital having suffered a serious stroke. Unable to walk or stand. I was initially afraid and angry. In this picture I’m smiling because I knew I’d walk again due to the love and support of my wife, my family, friends, and fans. 🙏🏾

A month ago today I suffered a stroke. I could not walk. Doctors said only time will tell if I will recover or to what degree. Its been grueling work but made a full recovery, re-learned how to walk and today doing agility drills! Thanks for the messages of encouragement! 🙏🏾

Good accurate explainer of the effects on the body of sprinting 400 meters. Understanding this process was key to me breaking the WR and consistently running 43 seconds.
Explainer video on science of why the 400m sprint is considered the most painful track & field event. And why “no person on the planet can run the 400m all out from start to finish". The race pushes the way the body creates energy to the limit:
