    Government should have released the data on CES even if it is not a normal year due to demon and GST. It is well known that rural areas were badly affected. What is the guarantee that 2020-21 would be normal year?

    Abhijit Sen: Scrapping CES means that GDP base year revision will have to wait till 2025. Changing weights in CPI will have to be put on hold.This is usually done every 5-6 years to reflect structural changes in the economy. Important for policy making. m.hindustantimes.com/india-news/con…

    It is good news that BCCI has introduced equal pay for India’s men & women cricket players for international appearances. Another glass ceiling is broken. It should be introduced in other sports as well.
