A lot of us are very unhappy with Kim Kardashian admitting she exercised and ate v little to fit into a dress. We don’t seem to be as upset when a jockey or a boxer does it. The Met Gala is her Olympics. I’m not saying either is right, but the reactions are interesting.

- 17 years since we were gifted the world’s best TV moment 📺
- Irish needs a Michael Sheen. Ireland needs a Michael Sheen. A much more eloquent version of what I was trying to say in my article yesterday. ‘Accommodate, accommodate, accommodate.’ 🏴 🇮🇪
- ...’ and this is why a fada is VERY important i nGaeilge children.’ 💦 🙈🙈🙈
- There’s a surge in ‘why people need to get back into the office’ dialogue recently. The main reason now apparently is that it’s good for socialising. Ya know what’s also good for socialising? No long commutes and being able to attend sports/hobbies with like-minded people!
- When you’re in Aldi with two items and the woman in front you with the full trolley sees that and doesn’t offer to let you go first. That. May she stand on 72 upturned plugs today.
- Is it just me, or does it feel like there’s a massive push to get people back into offices again? Appreciate it works for some but working from home gave a new lease of life to many rural communities and made some people happier and healthier too.
- I’m not eloquent enough to phrase this properly but can we stop the whataboutery?! Gyms, golf, restaurants and so on and just accept that every single contact counts? Just cos you’ve decided it makes no sense doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make sense to experts in disease control?
- It’s mad that you can pull out of a press conference with a broken arm, or a pulled hamstring without a doctor’s report. But if your mind is injured, you’re punished and forced to ‘prove’ it. We’ve a long way to go.
- Replying to @DrBrianHigginsIt was once written in an annual review that I was too happy.
- I would’ve thought arriving with no warning, disrupting your life and taking over everything was more of an English thing tbh.My Irish in laws really irritate me. We have an 18 month old and they have no regards for his routine, or our plans. They just turn up unannounced and let themselves in. Any time, day or night. "It's the Irish way" apparantly. The English way is now leaving the chain on.
- My Aunt Máire was buried today in North Carolina. She was 81 and emigrated as a 17 year old girl from Conamara with barely any English. We watched the funeral via Facebook live. It would’ve blown her mind. Ag cuimhniú uirthi agus a hiníon Maureen anocht.
- Don’t tell me kids aren’t sound. Half time at Páirc Tailteann and everyone gets to play 🏐 @MeathGAA
00:00 - Think it’s great that Gaeilge is being knitted into tv and radio for the last week. It’s natural and normal! Can we please have more of this all year round?! Is tír dhá theangach muid! 🇮🇪
