- Dolly Parton didn't spend her dollars on space travel or a trip to the titanic because she was writing checks to put 150 million books in the hands of children.

- Never tell a little girl that when a boy is mean or rude to her it's because he has a crush on her. Don't teach her that abuse is a sign of love.
- Rape was already a thing back in the 1950s when women wore pleated, below-the-knee skirts. Rape was already a thing in the 1800s when women wore frocks and several Payers of clothing underneath. Rape has nothing to do with fashion and everything to do with rapists.
- You know what's gross? Women get addressed by Miss, Mrs., or Ms. because society deems it important to know if she is single, married or widowed. Men, on the other hand, are only addressed as Mr. because their relationship to women does not affect their social status.
- Men tend to choose higher paying careers like doctor, engineer, lawyer, or CEO. While women tend to choose lower paying careers like female doctor, female engineer, female lawyer, or female CEO.
- Honestly the best piece of advice I can give to younger girls trying to figure life out is to completely ignore men. I'm not being quirky or cute when I say that, I mean it seriously. Ignore men's judgments of you, ignore their insincere compliments, ignore their half-assed
- I hate to be the one who has to tell you this, but you’re *supposed* to care about other people in a functioning society.
- As many nations ban books. Finland has started teaching school children how to identify fake news and propaganda as a part of its curriculum.
- Teach your daughter economic independence so in the future, she can have a partner, not a master. Teach your son to do housework so in the future, he can have a partner, not a servant.
- Being a woman is kind of like being a cyclist in a city where all the cars represent men. You're supposed to be able to share the road equally with cars, but that's not how it works. The roads are built for cars and you spend a great deal of physical and mental energy being
- Stop shaming the POOR for buying things that may not be necessary... and start shaming the RICH for profiteering off of things that are Essential.
- Everyone's Islamophobia seems to disappear on the flight to Dubai....
