    The St Maeve-bringing me home @AerLingus After 15 yrs,leaving #Brussels for last time as an MEP. Has been a privilege to represent #Irish citizens in the #EP. Thank you to all who supported me at so many levels. Good luck to all the MEP’s who will represent us for next 5 yrs

    You can’t go anywhere!! In a taxi in Marseille chatting the driver who is originally from Armenia,lived in LA now Marseille. Where are you from?, Ireland, Dublin? Sligo, ahh @sligorovers⁩ he says. We’re best friends now he is driving me to the airport tomorrow #thebitored

    The only seat I will seek to occupy today. Flying to last #Strasbourg session of the #EuropeanParliament. The die is cast, nominations for #EuropeanElections2019 close in Castlebar today at 12.00 noon. For last 20 yrs I’ve been involved but not today. Good luck to all candidates

    I agree @lukeming,@saoirse_mchugh is a gem.I am sooo pleased Ireland & M/N/W voted for decency, equality & a better greener future. I believe that will come through in the transfers also, if it’s in the No1’s ,it’s down the line and yours are waiting

    Politics is one of the most important activities we engage in,not politicians themselves but the activity itself. Politics is complicated but it impacts on everybody’s life, it helps to shape the future. No matter who we support, stay political, stay informed

    What a precious memory, hold it tight, you are blessed. My dad died 50 years ago, I remember him like yesterday. Wish he was around sometimes.Still I’m blessed to have a 92 year old mother who at an extremely difficult time became father & mother. #myheroine
