Imagine if in 1944 the tragedy of civilian deaths in Berlin was ultimately blamed on Canadians, Brits, Americans and others instead of grasping the core problem was German Nazi aggression in existence since 1933. Imagine also if the New York Times asked Berlin mayor for an oped.

We have a new statue of Winston Churchill in Calgary, unveiled on D-Day in commemoration of all who served and of Churchill, without whom we'd all be speaking German. And also in commemoration of his 1929 visit to Calgary, southern Alberta and the Rockies.

I'm in Ottawa and I've never seen so many Canadian flags flown on private residences and Canadiana displayed at businesses. This is positive, but it would have been nice to see such a display of patriotism over the last few years when ridiculous allegations were flung around that

Those in the 18-34 age cohort less willing to go to war for Canada. Is anyone surprised by this? Young Canadians have been (falsely) told for some time in school and university that Canada is systemically racist, genocidal, etc. And now they are little interested in defending
