Really skinny at the moment. Having more fluid drained from abdomen so my tummy has a bit of space for food. It’s a journey. It’s not easy. Baby steps. Still have the end goal in sight where myself, Adrienne and the girls are walking on the beach with our future golden retriever

- After 64 days, 7 procedures and losing almost 15kg, today… I go home! Still have a tube coming out my side & will have a home nurse looking after me as I slowly build my strength, but nothing beats the healing power of being home with loved ones, the fresh air and garden. 😀🙏🏻
- A lot of sleeping the last few days. Body is depleted. After chemo and immuno last Thursday it’s just been pouring out both ends. I’m like a shriveled pea. 😳🥴.
- Just to keep it real. I smile a lot in pics, but there’s also moments after heavy coughing or vomiting that I’m exhausted and need a moment to catch my breath. It’s about acknowledging those moments… and then standing up again. #dontstopbelieving
- When you wake up from the anesthetic and realise your partner is there holding your hand. I love you my Adrienne. 🙏🏻❤️
- Spending 5 hours in the chair today for a blood transfusion. Like the bionic man… “we will build him better, stronger, faster…”. ☺️
- After 30 days in an ICU bed, I’m skinnier than a toothpick, but… I’m out of ICU! 🙏🏻. Enjoying the calm environment of General Ward, having my own quiet space… my own loo! 😊. One step closer to being home 👊🏻✨ #dontstopbelieving
- Back at hospital having a few liters of fluid drained from my abdomen. One day at a time. Step by step the healing happens. 👊🏻🙏🏻✨ #dontstopbelieving
- Yesterday was 10 hours of drains and drips. Today… sitting in the garden enjoying fresh air and sunshine. Oh yes, and Prince Harry’s new book too. 😀👊🏻✨
- Getting a 4 hour drip at home is a lot easier when a little fur ball is keeping me company 😀✨ Still out of breath doing the smallest things, especially with drainage tube still in my chest, but walking a little further each day without my cane for support. #dontstopbelieving
- Magical moment. After almost 3 weeks I got to hug my girls! They’re not allowed in ICU, so I got permission to step out and visit them in the passage! 😀💕✨ #daddysgirls
