    5 months ago I did my best to thoroughly destroy my ankle!! 8 hours in the ER, surgery 9 days later with an overnight hospital stay, 2 incision scars, 7 screws and 1 plate, completely non-weightbearing for 3 months, and now copious physical therapy. We’re getting there πŸ₯²

    Something you don’t see everyday - this morning after training, a racehorse got loose on the way to paddock schooling and ran onto the track. Outrider Colby Lavergne was doing barn chores, saw it happen, and jumped on his outriding horse Mouse bareback. (πŸŽ₯: Tessa)

    I know it looked bad. All I’m going to say is a) it’s hard to let go of a horse when he’s biting your rein b) if a horse is trying to savage my pony, I would do what had to be done to protect my horse c) he’s a professional and a good horseman and did what he thought was best

    For 4.5 years I’ve obsessed over Conquest Typhoon, cried over every race, and spent way too much time holding his tongue. He is officially retired at age 7. Plans are being made, either with me or a friend who has loved him for even longer. Thank you for all of the messages πŸ’•
