    Sidney Crosby has signed 3 contracts since his entry-level contract expired in 2008: - 5 years, $8.7 million cap hit - 12 years, $8.7 million - 2 years, $8.7 million The percentage of the cap at each contract's start, per @PuckPedia: 15.3%, 13.5%, and estimated 9.9%.

    NEWS: I'm told the Hurricanes and forward Logan Stankoven are close on a long-term contract extension. Stankoven, acquired from the Stars in the Mikko Rantanen trade, has 1 year left on his entry-level deal so the extension wouldn't kick in until 2026-27.
