On the side of the makers. growth @brexhq
- Our team at Panther is fully remote. Last week, we had a Slack thread where teammates shared their tips for being happy and productive. I’ve compiled the best ones into this thread. Here are 11 ways you can work better remotely––from people who are damn good at remote work👇
- There’s a pattern among history’s most successful & influential people: Most of them worked fewer hours than the average American. Darwin, Hemingway, Beethoven: None of them worked more than 4 or 5 hours in a day. Yet they produced lifetimes of great work. Here’s how:
- Remote work fails without great communication. But, most people aren't good at communicating––especially in writing. Since @pantherhr is fully-remote, we think about this a lot. 3 golden rules for communication that help us every single day:
- Millions of people are moving due to remote work: And 40% of those people are moving at least *4 hours* from their current home. That's a wild number. It's 5M - 10M people in the U.S. alone. Here’s why people want to move––and why remote employers have the advantage:
- Thrilled to announce we've raised a fresh $2.5M from 50+ of the world's top investors and operators to create the financial tools and employment infrastructure for the next generation of global companies.
- Every Panther employee that joins over the next few years will become a millionare
- At Panther, we're constantly experimenting: - New ways to kill meetings - Rules for async communication - How to prevent overwork - Ideas to spark innovation We're a fully-remote team across ~12 countries. We've learned a lot. My current ideas about a great remote work OS:
- Replying to @MattRedler4. The biggest secret to a good home office: A very high-quality chair. There’s a reason that large companies will buy $2k+ office chairs for their employees. They’re worth it. If you’ll be working from a home office most of the time, the investment is well worth it.
- Replying to @MattRedler2. Don't start work right away in the morning. Create a routine. Take an hour before work to run, cook, journal, or do something you enjoy. When you’re done with work for the day, follow another routine. This helps you mentally check in and out of work to stay focused.
- adding $100K in ARR halfway through the month is fun
- Didn’t expect to grow in December, but Panther grew 26% today and got our first $10B+ customer. Cool cool
- Replying to @MattRedler5. Don’t always work from home. Remote means you can work from coffee shops, the beach, coworking spaces, park benches, or almost anywhere else. Take advantage of that. A change of scenery can spark creativity and innovation in your work.
