- I was pleased to attend the opening of Reading’s new wonderful central library. It’s an amazing facility, right in the town centre, easy to access, with a fantastic range of books and a wonderful children’s area.
00:00 - I thanked the Environment Secretary for her robust action to stand up for residents who are appalled by Thames Water.
00:00 - The safety of children online is an issue I care deeply about. I am pleased that the Government has taken the bold decision to go further than any country by banning social media for under-16s and putting wider protections in place to give children their childhood back.
00:00 - I was pleased to be able to show my support for Stuart Stephens, whose 13-year-old son Olly was murdered in an attack linked to online bullying. Stuart attended a meeting in Parliament about tackling online harms.

In the early hours of this morning, I directed our Armed Forces to intercept a shadow fleet oil tanker attempting to pass through the English Channel. This successful operation delivers yet another blow to Russia and reminds those fueling Putin's war in Ukraine that we will not - I praised the huge economic benefits of the Elizabeth Line, and the long term approach to investment in our country’s infrastructure that laid the foundations for its success.
00:00 - During a debate on rail infrastructure I raised disabled access to taxis at Reading Station, and asked for ministers to support efforts to improve the design of this area of the station. Many thanks to local taxi drivers for bringing this to my attentions.
00:00 - It was an honour to attend the football tournament held in memory of Lewis Waters, who tragically died after contacting Meningitis B last month. It was a wonderful event and a true show of community support to Lewis’ parents Sean and Kate, his family, friends, and teammates.

- I welcomed the Government's decisive action to tackle children sending and receiving sexually explicit images, and I asked the Minister to continue to work closely with families who have lost children and young people due to online harms.
