Honestly so grateful to have been given the space to articulate my experiences through @PoliticsJOE_UK I have been a little overwhelmed by the responses. The policy may have been dropped for now but that doesn't mean we shouldn't want better in the fight against homelessness

My Mum rang me yesterday in tears, worried that my youngest brother who is autistic and diabetic may lose his PIP entitlement due to only being 20. All this week has done is leave me to question why I’m in the Labour Party, we should be so much better than this.

I wear flags on nights out, I eat flags, I wash with flags, I have flag children, I say a prayer to my flag each evening, I smoke and drink flags, I drive a flag to work, I go on holiday to flags every year, I bake flags every Sunday and put up flags instead of a Christmas tree.

Last year I caught a train before buying a ticket. Once on the train I purchased a ticket but was told it wasn’t valid. Today I received this. What sort of awful and purposefully intimidating language is this @TLRailUK? You’ll be asking the courts to issue a prison sentence?!

I have agonised over making this public as I didn’t wanted to embarrass the party but after two emails with no response I feel I have to share my concerns at what seems to be a freedom of speech issue. I have done no media this year or interviewed anyone.

2 weeks ago a man was killed for his political beliefs and we all (Trump included) said we need to be more careful with our language. Today Trump falsely said Sadiq Khan wants sharia law in London, effectively painting a target on his back for extremists. So irresponsible.

I didn’t go into politics to cut people’s benefits, I went into politics to make people’s lives better, protect the vulnerable and give them a voice. The government’s priorities are all wrong, why do tough decisions get placed on the backs of my mates and not theirs?
