I made a 1m wingspan flying wing RC airplane that prints in a single Form 4L build in just a few parts. Print-in-place, flexural control surfaces for improved aerodynamics and reduced assembly. It actually survived 2 flights! 3rd one ended because of an unfortunately placed

This is a room with >2000 CNC mills near Shenzhen that I've been inside. The mills are arranged in cells with multiple tended by a robot on tracks, so there are very few people working on the floor. There are dozens like this in China. What's the biggest similar facility in

13 years ago, 3D Systems sued Formlabs for patent infringement. (Before we shipped a single unit -- literally based on a Kickstarter video!) Today, Formlabs gross profit exceeds 3D Systems. How: we focused on building stuff that people want to buy.

eVTOL grifters have moved on to humanoids even before their previous companies have failed. Lots of great hardware companies that won't get funded because they soak up a lot of money, over promise and underdeliver. (Lots of great opportunities in robotics and electric aircraft.

Formlabs is a US company that responds at Shenzhen speed 🚀 96% of customer inquiries responded to within 10 minutes. The next best US B2B companies we could find are at 2 hours, and most are much worse. It took a lot of hard work and a dedicated sales team to get there.

That has to be more than $1M in tooling/NRE just for that face piece. I assume not even a particular important/performance enhancing part. Definitely crazy wasteful. If this will be as big of an industry as many hope, it will be very cost/efficiency focused. Companies without
