- Meet ALPHA, the new home of @CBU_FL and @A3_Trojans - this will be the epicenter of player development in Tampa. Wait til you see who is heading the sports science and strength and conditioning. This has been coming together beautifully. I am grateful for all the people
- Not being able to swing 3-0 because you are up by a lot is like a pitcher not being able to throw a strike 0-2 because they are up by a lot. Prove me wrong.
- Big news in Tampa for all you baseball people!!! I’ll give you a hint!
- Relationship with the player (not being friends, but just caring about them) will always trump knowledge as a coach. If you truly care about the player, you have accomplished the most important aspect of a coach. You can’t be a good coach without caring for the player. Impossible
- Players and families HIGHLY UNDERESTIMATE the quality of players that go JUCO. Most make this judgement without ever watching a JUCO play. Don’t be in the mindset of “We’ll I’ll just go JUCO if I don’t have NCAA offers.” You will find yourself not playing quite fast.
- You can’t coach from cages. You can’t. You just can’t. If you don’t go to any games you are creating a swinger not a hitter. If you don’t go to any games you are creating a thrower not a pitcher. Don’t lose the ability to compete. Don’t teach competing out of players. Done.
- I don’t even know where to start about this past weekend. All I know is that with only 2 hours of sleep from Friday to Sunday I am more energized about summer than ever before. I couldn’t believe the level of talent present at this weekend’s event. @Baseball_Univ @CBU_FL @CBAcad
- Little dude just grabbed his desk and a whiteboard while I was in the phone with colleges (all day), and brought them out front. Said “I’m going to sell my drawings I made today.” Made $19. At one point he went door to door knocking and selling. No fear.
- Reminder to all the high school players out there this summer. You are not just competing against your peers on the fields in these tournaments for college roster spots. You are competing against the thousands and thousands of college players in the portal as well. These

- High school coaches are the backbone of college baseball. If you were asked to coach college baseball for a small stipend a year would you? These coaches develop players, organize games, deal with parents, maintain their own fields, fundraise and much more for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
