- This is an important reminder to never throw anything into our animal exhibits. Earlier today, it was reported that a guest threw a shoe up and over the top of the glass at our Komodo dragon exhibit. Being curious, one of our Komodo dragons approached the shoe and ingested it.
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved southern hairy-nosed wombat, Kindilan. Born in 1998 at the San Diego Zoo, Kindilan made his way to the Memphis Zoo in January 2000, where he quickly became a cherished favorite of both our guests and staff. For years,
