Our goals from yesterday. Whoever came up with #TilTheEnd three years ago deserves a pay rise. First leg of the semis: 88th min winner. Second leg of the semis: 122nd min aggregate winner. Championship play-off final to get back to the Premier League: 95th min winner. Proud.

I hate Newcastle as a massive Sunderland fan with every fibre of my being. That will never change. But they merited that win no question. The score flattered Liverpool & how the mags didn’t win by a much more comfortably I don’t know. Deserved winners.

Sheff Wed fans were incredibly gracious in defeat a year ago. Wished Sunderland well in the final. Classy set of fans. Couldn’t be happier for them that they’re promoted & especially for Darren Moore. Fair play to the bloke. See you in the Championship.

Quickly on #SWFC. I feel for their fans. Don’t care if people think I’m blowing smoke up their arse. Since the playoff games, I’ve made no secret that I’ve a lot of time for them. They were so humble when they could’ve been salty. Owner ‘statement’ a joke. Fans deserve better.

Loved listening to the ending of @Guymowbray’s excellent commentary here. He absolutely nails it. After eight LONG years Saturday was truly special for #SAFC fans. Long way to go of course but loved seeing many clearly enjoying the moment. For now at least, we are so back. ❤️🤍

Correct me if wrong but sure I read somewhere the regime targeted being back in the Premier League within five years starting from their first full season at #SAFC. 2021-22: Year 1️⃣ 2022-23: Year 2️⃣ 2023-24: Year 3️⃣ 2024-25: Year 4️⃣ If so, five year plan done in four years. 👏

Aim is still to get to 40 points in my opinion then if we do, go from there. But after watching getting relegated from the Premier League then from the Championship to four straight tedious years in League One, I’m going to enjoy this for now. We. Deserve. This.

I made this to try to sum up the utter madness that is the 2021-22 #SAFC season with the ups, downs & ultimate high in promotion. I wanted to do something like this since the season ended & it took a lot of work to put together! Am I sad? Oh, yes. But I’m definitely proud of it.

MOTD discussion here is exactly why Granit Xhaka could turn out to be one of the most important signings in the Premier League this season, not just at Sunderland either. Mark’s right. He led us to that point yesterday. His TOP experience could be massive in the run in I think.
