It is wild that the politicians that downplayed the risk of the virus, don’t wear masks, host super spreader events, deny science, and want the rest of the country to risk it all, are now first in line to receive the vaccine. It’s the hypocrisy and unmitigated gall for me.

My father has been a part of the inmate firefighter program. I’m excited that once released he and countless others like him will have the opportunity to become fire fighters. Love to see it.

CA’s inmate firefighter program is decades-old and has long needed reform. Inmates who have stood on the frontlines, battling historic fires should not be denied the right to later become a professional firefighter. Today, I signed #AB2147 that will fix that.
