Children believe what we tell them. Speak the positivity and believe it. Every day I tell my class (and daughter) they are amazing, because they are. Today I asked them, “Who’s amazing?” Every single hand went up. That’s the power of the words they hear about themselves. 🥰

My beautiful friend has just had a baby. Her first two beautiful daughters were born asleep.💕💕 Just opened my phone to her little newborn face. My heart. 😍 Reminder that there’s light after dark. I’m so proud of her and her partner.🥹💛

My class are aware I am striking tomorrow (letter went home to help) Today when I said, we won’t be here tomorrow etc. Most of my children replied, “Tomorrow we are on Strike as a class family!” Yes, yes we are! I teach Year 1 No negativity, no words or questions from parents.

Remember not to ask your children to write a Holiday Recount. Rather than ask ‘How was your holiday, what did you do, where did you go?’ Say, welcome back, I’ve missed you, how are you? It matters. Also, maybe do the same for your colleagues. Not everyone has a great story.

Two years ago my mum became a widow. 8 months later she was diagnosed with cancer, just before our first Christmas without dad. Today she has just been given the all clear health wise, her remaining Kidney is all good for another year. My heart could burst. Yes I’m crying! #hope

My 5 year old daughter asked for a ‘chilled day at home.’ We’ve, chilled, read, played, sung. Been on a long walk. Spent the afternoon at the library, bought some shopping to cook and bake together. So mundane and yet absolutely everything about it, is what life is about. 💛

Whilst out today a lady sat at the table near us and signed ‘tea!’ (To her other half who was at the counter). Ivy was so excited. The lady asked me if she signs. Ivy and her started communicating together. IT WAS EVERYTHING! 💛🥰

I’ve actually got shorts on and left the house in them. HUGE deal for me! But guess what? 🤷🏻‍♀️Life really is too short. There are way bigger things to worry about than thick thighs and other people’s opinions. Wear the shorts / dress / bikini etc.🩳💛☀️

A knock on my door and it was my ex. With breakfast, fresh orange and his tool box. We are still learning how this relationship / co-parenting journey is for us. But friendship and support that’s a given. 🫶🏼

A new child joined our class family today. My children immediately rushed to greet and sit by him. One asked if we can find time to talk about where we are from! Another asked can we take a new class photo with our new children. My class aren’t easy to teach but they are to love.

My daughter is reading a book by herself in her bedroom. She is so shy in school, they ‘had concerns!’ I said, She’ll do it when she’s ready. She’s 4! She has just woke up and is lay between her teddies reading. I can hear her sound and blend then read the sentence.🥰 #reading
