    Nobody in collegiate history has — EVER — thrown the shot put further than Payton Otterdahl. All-time collegiate record 71-06.75 (21.81m) at the Summit League Championships today.

    Payton’s throw of 21.64m would’ve won a bronze medal at the past two Olympics. It would’ve won gold in 2008.

    The legend of Payton Otterdahl continues to grow. 71-0 (21.64m) shot put at Nebraska today. The 3rd-best throw in collegiate indoor history. The world leader by a foot and a half.

    One of the greatest indoor throwing seasons ever. And people noticed. Payton Otterdahl is the National Field Athlete of the Year, and Justin St. Clair has been named National Assistant Coach of the Year!
